Rosie Merriman is a Welsh designer who creates bespoke fashion pieces, accessories and artworks from her east London studio. Combining her training in machine knit and hand embroidery with unusual materials such as salt crystals and latex as embellishments, Rosie creates pieces that merge the boundaries between art and fashion. Emotion and empowerment are key values in Rosie's practice, who is fascinated by the perception of femininity and alternative beauty.
Rosie studied BA (Hons) Textile Design at Hereford College of Arts where she specialised in knit, then in 2024 was selected for The CHANEL & King's Foundation Métiers d'art Fellowship, where she trained for six months in Haute Couture embroidery, mentored by Atelier Montex. She now works on her business from her studio and facilitates craft workshops.
Rosie has exhibited in venues all across the UK, including Selfridges for London Craft Week, Llantarnam Grange Arts Centre in South Wales and Garrison Chapel in Chelsea.
